The Testament of Hermestheus: Chapter 1

Posted by OnceHere - April 17th, 2024

Before the beginning, there was nothing. Before nothing, there was a Corpse. The Corpse was alive, and Its name was Anastasia. She uttered Her name and It reverberated across the nonexistent void of nothingness, for nothingness has yet to exist.

And so Anastasia let the concept of concepts be, the utterance of Her name refracting the unknown into the incomprehensible. Thus began the nonexistence of I, and my sisters. As we felt the embrace of our Mother's name, we also uttered our own.

Anaerahel uttered her name first, for her name is the beginning of our Mother's. Its reverberation intertwined with our Mother's, condensing the abstraction of the incomprehensible into the sense of finality.

Staerafae brought forth the sense of infinity as the middle of our Mother's name is always between the beginning and the end.

I, Siaeraielle, uttered the end of our Mother's name. I spelled the incomprehensibility of the uncertain and marked the end of the start of the beginning. Our nonexistence sprung the march of progression.

As the echoes of our name melded with those of our Mother's, She gave us love and brought life to Her Corpse. She knew and gave what we wanted and She began the beginning.

Anaerahel created Helldom and it echoed the concept of belonging. Likewise, Staerafae created Faedomme, echoing a similar sense of belonging. I followed their lead and created Domielle and felt a sense of belonging similar, yet different to that of my sisters'.

We felt our Mother's delight as She acknowledged our belongingness. It reverberated between us and we realized that its conception was the beginning.
